It’s really hot…
Overlord IV - Albedo - F:Nex - 1/7 - China Dress Ver. (FuRyu)
Speaking of hot… 😏
Ainz may have her heart, but this demoness certainly has ours (well, mine at least)🥺
This FuRyu release has Albedo dressed in a barely-there qipao, its satin-like fabric holding onto her curves for dear life (as I would be too heheh).
The cascading dress is contrasted perfectly by some black accessories, a favorite of mine being the cinched ribbons on her thighs that hold onto tights made from actual fabric. I also have to point out that the cut of the dress at her chest almost makes the bustier look like hearts, which would perfectly showcase my love for her ti— tenacious personality!
But on a serious note, there are so many beautiful details in this figure besides our lovely lady herself: the gentle curve of each meticulously sculpted feather, freckled in gold to add to their ethereal appearance. The cascading ribbons that dance delicately down from her wrists, the curves in their form barely saving them from skimming the water’s surface. Her windswept hair, billowing fervently in the breeze and softening from a deep black to a semi-transparent purple. Even the pillar upon which she stands has been carefully crafted, blemished by rugged incisions as if to purposefully deviate from the perfection of its surroundings.
Yet another of many highlights is the cooling burst of water beneath her, frenzied in motion by the tender force of her wings, swirling into life with mind blowing detail. Luscious waves recreated with blue translucent parts to transform a basic base into a whirlpool of aqueous textures and movement.
Oh yeah, she’s also holding a halberd which is pretty neat. Honestly, we could write a whole blog post about this figure but she’s gotta share it with some other figures so let me stop there and sum up with this:
I love this figure almost as much Albedo loves Ainz. Almost.
Azur Lane - Black Prince - B-style - 1/4 - Addled Attendant? Ver. (FREEing)
Luckily, Black Prince is here to take care of us with some drinks (and a show, courtesy of her leaning forward) at the good ‘ol…. Chicken Twister??? ┐('～`;;;;)┌
Alright, what the bar lacks in naming, it certainly makes up for with cute waitresses 😉
Her bunny attire is adorable, as to be expected when it comes to FREEing’s B-Style series. I must confess: I am not an avid Azur Lane fan (which means I know nothing about it besides battle ships and hot chicks). I tried looking up more about this skin but had no luck, so I’m just gonna go off the cuff here (hehe get it? Cos she’s got cuffs….. (；＿；) I’ll see myself out, thank you).
While most of FREEing’s bunny suits just showcase our favorite girls in the usual bodysuit, armband, and appropriate leporine headwear, Black Prince has the added touch of a coat! Not that it adds much in terms of coverage (thank goodness) but it adds a magician’s assistant-esque air to Black Prince with its jet-black puffed sleeves and red-bowed collar. Coupled with the card between her fingers and I wonder if I’m missing some kind of lore here.
But details aside, there’s something about the way she’s sitting on the stools — her comfortable positioning and draped leg, showing her bare foot since her shoe’s slid off —
that just makes me wanna cozy up on the open seat next to her and stare into those big, magenta eyes. They might not be then only big things I end up staring at, but honestly, I think my thirsty comments are reaching the point of exhaustion. 🥹
The inclusion of scenery with Black Prince is definitely a standout, as are the small tweaks to the usual bunny suit display we’ve seen. I may not be the biggest Azur Lane fan, but I know that this bunny girl is definitely one that I’d like docked on my shores.
SoniComi (Super Sonico) - Sonico - 1/6 - Paisura Bikini ver. - 2023 Re-release (Kaitendoh)
No, I’m not alluding to the meme of a certain Murica stereotype because of her bikini colors — it’s just what I said when I found out this figure is a cast-off. 👀
For those not familiar with the term paisura, please allow me to teach you some very important Japanese! 🙇♀️
You know that thing where there’s something, like a seatbelt, that nestles between a girl’s boobs? That’s paisura! It’s a portmanteau of the words oppai, or boobs, and surasshu, or slash! Literally boob slash~ ✌️
Of course, it’s her arm doing the boob slash in this figure, and quite the slash it makes beneath the bikini itself. 😍
