Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷  .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
You know what? We truly are in the golden age of figures. And we have the folks at Good Smile to thank for that, because their Pop Up Parade series is one of the best things to ever happen to collectors! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
For those who are new here, Pop Up Parades are an awesome entry into the world of scales for those who are new to the figure collecting hobby. These are high-quality sculpts offered for a fraction of the price! Take a look at our selection and see for yourself how great they are!
And if you’re the picky type, earlier this year we did an extensive review of the different tiers of figures. We’re collectors ourselves, so we scrutinized each figure quite harshly, yet the Pop Up Parades still passed with flying colors! d(  ˶^w^)b
Today we’ll look at their new release: Rozen Maiden’s Shinku!
Rozen Maiden Shinku Pop Up Parade
As the anime’s protagonist and Rozen’s favorite, Shinku is the first magical doll to be summoned into the Pop Up Parade series. And it seems the other dolls will soon follow!
What amazes me in this figure is the amount of detail. As the character of an anime that was popular over a decade ago, she doesn’t have many figures; garage kits were once abundant, but now are quite hard to find. There are, however, some pre-assembled figures in the wild in brand new condition, and we have them in stock! (゚∀゚人 )
Shinku figures
Alter’s PVC figure and Good Smile’s first release of Shinku are there, patiently waiting for the right collector to wind them up. Those older scales retain the vintage feel with bright colors, intricate scenes and a sculpt that evokes the original animation.
There is also an adorable nendo. (˵◕ᴗ◕) And if chibi is the way, then Suigintou is also here! I hope GSC will release the others too, because other than Pullips and BJDs, nendoroids are the best way to bring these dolls to life!

Back to the red rose: when I first saw her, I was happy to see a newer scale had been released. But when I read that it was a Pop Up Parade, my happiness meter went off the charts.
ヽ( ^Д ^)ノ
With just this figure, Good Smile was able to outdo all of its own previous Rozen Maiden releases, and I dare say even the nendo!
Shinku Pop Up Parade angle
Her colors are easier on the eyes and more realistic. Her pose is simple: she stretches out her hand as she takes a step forward, twintails bouncing as she moves. This is the only catch of the Pop Up Parade series: the poses aren’t super dynamic. But honestly, that’s far from being a negative when it comes to poised and refined Shinku.
Besides, her outfit is simply perfect: look at the little frills on her cloak and her dress! That’s what shows how much detail you can get from these figures.
Pop Up Parade Shinku back
Previous figures have decided to portray the no-frills version of her crimson dress, but Good Smile didn’t shy away from the task, even on the nendoroid. On the Pop Up Parade version of Shinku, each frill even seems to follow the movement of the fabric!

There is subtle shading on her golden curls (which curl for days! §ԾᴗԾ§ ), and her smile is as rare and precious as a red ruby. I think when Rozen made her, he meant for her to become Alice. She is already the perfect doll!
Shinku last
Shinku will ship out in November 2021, in a flurry of rose petals and doll magic. The Alice Game starts once more and she needs a medium to win. So kiss the rose ring and seal the contract with her today!

We hope you enjoyed this one!

Until next time! ヾ(^∇^)
