Kotobukiya’s ARTFX J lineup is known for its great work in recreating characters, but this figure release is truly breathtaking! From Dante’s expression to the detailing on Rebellion, this figure is truly out of this world.
Something to address right away is Rebellion, Dante’s sword. The dedication to recreating the sword and all of its details is amazing. Just above the grip is the skull of a horned demon, its jaw agape and its ribcage serving as the transition from hilt to blade.
The blade itself is partially exposed, but the majority of it is engulfed in a swathe of fiery flames! The flames are painted with a gradient, where the center is a deep red while the brighter tips flicker with a more crimson hue. （๑✧∀✧๑）
Dante’s features are brought to life perfectly with his snowy hair and piercing eyes. He has a slight grin as he readies for battle - the upturned lip and dimple at the corner of his mouth really make his expression so real! w(@。@;)w
His outfit is equally amazing as the texture and look of his worn leather jacket are faithfully recreated. The numerous wrinkles in the fabric and the slightly worn quality of his trademark twin-tail jacket are spectacular.
Even his brown boots look so realistic with the numerous straps and buckles adding a gritty edge to his image.
