Figures that capture the quiet beauty of an everyday moment are always a treat. Eusun has managed to bring a scene straight from a slice of life anime to life. Their Rainy Day Meeting figure, based on an illustration by catzz offers a tender, cinematic snapshot that looks fantastic.

Catzz is a talented illustrator and character artist best known for their gentle human figures. Of course with a name like Catzz, you can also expect to see plenty of four legged furry friends as well. Catzz excels at capturing fleeting, emotionally resonant scenes, exactly like a quiet moment in the rain, that invite viewer reflection.

Catzz’s characters often have subdued color palettes and smooth lines. The imagery is atmospheric, balancing realistic lighting, delicate textures and emotional narrative, making each piece a visual treat. The figure is an amazing representation of their work and Eusun did a wonderful job recreating and enhancing it.

Set under a softly falling rain, we have a girl squatting beneath a translucent umbrella. The sculpt captures the precise moment of an unexpected meeting. From photos, it appears that the sign lights up via a usb-c port so you can create a sweet night time, rainy  visual.

The outfit is also interesting. We have many elements that look like a typical seifuku and from the side it looks like a high school student bending down to say hello to the cat. The bag, shoes, and blue coat are commonly used elements.

From the front however, the shirt is unexpected. Combined with the dyed hair, I think she is supposed to be a recent graduate.

Probably a good call because from the right angles…

 …this otherwise wholesome figure becomes very ecchi. It is definitely not the most detailed figure but Eusun did a good job balancing quality and cost. Detail is added to the parts that matter most and the main focus is on using proper shading to enhance the visual. 

This figure isn’t mainstream and not for every collector but gives the perfect comfy vibes some may be looking for. It is currently available for pre-order and eligible for an early bird discount!
