Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷  .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
Picture this: you got lucky and caught a break in the stormy clouds. The sky is a pristine blue and lazy, fluffy clouds glide. So you fire up the BBQ, which has been laying in hibernation since last fall and prepare some juicy, delicious steaks. The mouth-watering smell of meat roasting over flames rises up…
…and you catch a flash of bright yellow from the corner of your eye. Could it be the hottie next door, casually dropping by to check on you?

It’s a hottie alright, but she’s not casual about it. This is a siege; surrender your provisions or suffer the inferno of a thousand stings: Wasp Girl Bun-chan is here to pillage your patio picnic.
This bishoujo wasp is the work of artist モグモ, who designed her as such:

And of Snail Shell Studio, the Chinese company who brought this articulated beauty to life. She is highly posable; even her eyes can be moved! The set includes a small tool to change the position of her eyeballs.
Moving eyes
In this video you can see a demonstration of the eye-moving mechanism, operated a little differently on another figure (she’s called WOLF-001 and has a swimsuit and an armored version, if you’re interested (・ω -*) ) . Watch with sound, there’s a satisfying ASMR effect to it. (* ̄∀ ̄)
She comes with three expressions:

1. A resting “I got it from my mama” badass face with a super stylish mask;
Expression 1
2. A taunting “Hey neighbor, that’s a nice BBQ you have there” face and
Expression 2
3. A “if you surrender now we *may* spare you the worst” face.
Expression 3
In order to store all the parts and the tiny eyeball-moving stick, her base doubles as a storage case:

Which also has a BEEM hex shield to keep it stylish in the background. This geometrical motif is present in her delicate wings and her tights too!
BEE-03W WASP GIRL Bun-chan thicc
This anthropomorphized vespid gets a double whammy of T H I C C ness: a bubble butt enveloped in shiny vinyl stockings and her yellow metasoma. Her stinger is bare and looking for blood. Did you see she's also got a lance? She’s armed to the teeth!
And you’ve wasted enough of her time.

Bug the f*** off the BBQ!

Bonus!

If bishoujo insects are not your thing, we also have this anatomically correct Japanese Giant Hornet!
REVOGEO - Oosuzumebachi - Japanese Giant Hornet (Kaiyodo)
If wasps are warriors, these hornets are the elite. With the meme name of “murder hornet”, their size alone is enough to intimidate! But don’t be fooled by human attributions; as invasive as they may be in North America, they are still a part of the ecosystem in Asia and very fascinating creatures.
Toy and figure maker Kaiyodo has an entire series dedicated to Asian arthropods called RevoGeo. Other figures in this series are the Giraffe Stag Beetle, the Giant Water Bug, and the Emperor Scorpion, and the Red-Clawed Crab. All are available in our store, and that titan of a hornet is on an Early Bird discount!
Kaiyodo Giant Hornet posed
Just like the Wasp Girl, these critters also have superior articulation! From the antennae to the legs, wings and the metasoma, its ball joints enable a great number of poses.
REVOGEO - Oosuzumebachi - Japanese Giant Hornet stinger
Unlike the thicc wasp, however, this lady keeps her stinger sheathed. In order to deploy it, you need only open the lower section of her abdomen, and the stinger will slide out.
In a fight, which one do you think would win: Wasp Girl or Japanese Giant “Murder” Hornet? Who will win the rights to raid *your* BBQ?
Whichever it is, you’d better give up on that patio meal and just order pizza to eat inside. It’s a scary world out there. ( ੈჰ ੈ)
We hope you enjoyed this one!
Until next time! ヾ(^∇^)
