Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ﾉ”
Today’s Early Bird Special is the bombshell Super Sonico, paying homage to the classic film Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)!
This colorful figure poses Sonico in a moment of pure action as the bomb she’s straddling plummets down towards its target.
She’s dressed in a cowgirl outfit, complete with fringed vest and cowboy boots (and of course her bikini)!
To complete the look, a mini cowboy hat decorates her pastel pink locks as she clings onto a lasso with her left hand.
The cowboy look really emulates the western-esque hollers of Major Kong as he rode the bomb!
And while the bomb in the film had a more simple look, the one Sonico rides instead mimics popular bomber art - a trend that became more commonplace during and after WWII.
The shark bomber with its sharp-toothed grin and squinted eyes makes quite a contrast to the sweet smile on Sonico!
One of the most standout points of this figure, though, is her gorgeous pink locks flowing in the wind behind her.
The cluster of locks whipping upwards as she plummets downwards really brings the action of this figure to life!
