Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
They say that life isn’t all fun and games, but I beg to differ. Life itself is a game; whether we enjoy it or not is a completely different story. ( ̄︶ ̄ ;) Thankfully, the rules give some leeway to make our own enjoyment when the game of life doesn’t give us enough. And for us otaku, there’s no better way to do that by diving headfirst into the realms of fantasy right between the pages of our favorite manga!
Or, in the case of No Game No Life, crash landing into a prismatic world of games!
Today we’re looking at Prime 1 Studio’s figures of Shiro and Schwi, from the No Game No Life franchise!
The Tokyo-based company is better known for their ultra-realistic 1/4 and 1/2 statues of Hollywood, video game, and pop culture characters. In the 10 years of its existence, it has delivered a wide range of figures, which you can check out at our store by clicking here.
Through figures of DC heroes that deserve to be featured at Madame Tussauds to Coraline-style cuties of all our favorite characters, Prime 1 has more than proven their ability to infuse life into PVC. (☆ω☆)
While they do make figures of anime characters, it wasn’t until 2021 that they decided to start making 1/7 scales of cute anime girls in their Prisma Wing series. But as soon as they did…they single-handedly made 2023 look like a good year. Hatsune Miku, Tokisaki Kurumi, Roxy, Chloe, and Ilya, they are all portrayed in super cool poses and richly detailed outfits. б(>ε< )∂
All of these figures are set to release between January and May 2023, and pre-orders are currently on an Early Bird promotion. Pre-order today to save 11% on your purchase! Plus, you get points to use towards future purchases as well. (・。-;
But today I chose to pay special attention to the figures of human computer Shiro and killing machine Schwi. After all, there is no one else better to promote the series name, Prisma Wing, than the ones who live in the prismatic world of Disboard!
Schwi, the Broken Ex-Machina
For those who haven’t watched the movie No Game No Life: Zero, here’s a quick recap. Before Tet — the god of games — ruled the world of Disboard, the planet was being ravaged by an endless war between all the civilizations. One of those civilizations was the Ex-Machina, highly efficient cybernetic beings operating as a hive mind. (▼皿▼)
Üc207Pr4f57t9, or Schwi for short, is one such being. Or at least, was. After incurring in too many logic errors due to her research into the human heart, her software was deemed irreparable and she was kicked out of her cluster. Ah, the irrationality of the human mind… (-д-;)
The god-tier engineering that made this near-invincible war machine is laid bare. Spiritual energy courses through her, empowering her legendary abilities.
And just in case you’re wondering, we didn’t censor anything in the images. That’s how the Ex-Machina look. (〃▽〃)
As it happens with other figures from the No Game No Life series, the vibrant atmosphere of Disboard is transmitted through the character’s hair. In the original character design by Yuu Kamiya, Schwi’s hair is just purple. But Prime 1 Studio adds the color of spiritual energy to the tips, bringing the whole piece together with a cybernetic, ethereal palette!
In her hand, she holds the king piece, symbolizing hope for the weakest of all Ixceed races.
At her feet, pieces representing races from other Disboard civilizations float aimlessly among fragments of reality.
Schwi is set to release at the end of April 2023. She’s currently on an Early Bird promotion, so pre-order today to save 11% on your order!
And if you like her shy Imanity setting better, we have it, too! We currently have an adorable Pop Up Parade (and her corresponding Nendoroid) in stock. You can also still pre-order this hoodie Schwi re-release by Phat Company (to be released October 2022) if scales are more your speed. We do have the initial release, but unless you really don’t want to wait, why not pre-order the re-release instead?
Shiro, the Cute Mastermind
Shiro is like Hatsune Miku: there’s always space on your shelf for one more.
Whenever there is a Shiro release, we’re on it. This writer in particular, because I have a thing for rainbow hair. If you haven’t yet, check out our blog posts about other Shiro figures!
However, if you’re an indecisive figure collector and a NGNL fan, then don’t. This will only make your life harder, since they’re all available or still open for pre-orders. Just stay on this post and let me convince you that the Prime 1 Studio figure is the one you should get.
First, hair. This is one of the most vibrant hair palettes for Shiro, and I can’t get enough of how it flows and swirls. This has been something to look forward to in every figure release, because every figure maker has had a different take on it so far! (๑^ᗜ^)
Then there’s that little smug face, that look of “really, is that your best move…?”. (ᇴ‿ฺᇴ) See that crown worn as a scrunchie? Yep, you’re facing the queen, and this is checkmate. The enigma in her hands will be solved even before your piece hits the board.
Then there’s all the rich detail on the base: the bismuth effect on her tights brings continuity to the rainbow theme. Like her hair, it’s one of the most dramatic palettes I’ve seen applied to her clothes! 🌈
Shiro steps on the chess king, the race piece representing Imanity. It tips over on the board amidst a whirling of cards. Notice how this motif connects the series and the movie: in Schwi’s hands, it’s hope. Now, at Shiro’s feet, it’s fate. (´ ⌣`ʃƪ)

This gorgeous figure of Shiro is going to be released at the end of May 2023, just a month after Schwi’s. She’s also on an Early Bird promotion, so pre-order today to save 11% on your order! (。•̀ᴗ -)☆
We hope you enjoyed this one!
