Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
If you’re the kind of collector who appreciates original characters with strong presence, good story and sculpting that rewards close inspection, Riana is one of those figures that quietly takes over a shelf the moment she’s unboxed.
Riana is an original character created by illustrator Riichu. Well-known and celebrated for blending softness with subtle allure, they have been in charge of several manga and character designs for games like Azur Lane.
Rather than leaning into exaggerated fantasy tropes, Riichu gives their characters a grounded sensuality. Riana is an original character created to be Riichu’s circle, Eterna-Radiare’s poster girl. Enjoying success in their doujinshi endeavors, Riichu decided to take it the next step, and sold a 64 page doujinshi manga featuring Riana at this past winter comic market.
A prototype figure was on display at Riichu’s booth, allowing fans to admire Riana’s 3D form as they picked up the book. Riichu took to twitter and playfully commented that they enjoyed the reactions so far, stating people took low angle photos and made comments about her fleshy thighs. Maybe this figure is best displayed on a high shelf…
Riana is crafted with a confident posture, expressive eyes and a calm, knowing smile that feels intentional rather than accidental. That design philosophy carries directly into the figure. This isn’t a loud character trying to grab attention. She assumes you’re already looking.
Produced by Union Creative, this 1/6 scale figure presents Riana in a classic maid outfit, but elevated. Instead of going full cosplay exaggeration, the outfit balances elegance and allure.
The design gives a clean black-and-white maid uniform with a fitted silhouette and voluminous, frilly skirt. Soft fabric folds are sculpted to feel natural, not rigid.
The sculpt is really where this figure quietly shines. The face is composed and expressive, eyes slightly narrowed, lips relaxed with a playful, inquisitive expression, capturing a mature confidence rather than forced cuteness. The body proportions feel natural, with particular attention paid to posture and balance. Nothing looks overstretched or stylized for shock value.
Union Creative delivers clean, restrained paint application here. Skin tones are smooth with subtle gradation, avoiding the flat plastic look that can plague lighter palettes. The maid outfit contrasts sharply against the skin without bleeding or fuzziness, and the hair paint has gentle depth rather than a single flat color. The shading and gradient throughout adds warmth and realism.
Small touches elevate the figure: the way the apron sits against her waist, the natural bend in her legs, and the understated gloss on select areas that adds realism without veering into artificial shine. Even the broom she is holding was given sufficient detail to try and mimic bristles rather than just a chunk of plastic.
At 1/6 scale, Riana has real presence. She’s tall enough to stand confidently among other premium figures, but refined enough to feel like a centerpiece rather than shelf filler. Riana is a figure made for collectors who appreciate maturity, restraint and design confidence. She doesn’t rely on gimmicks or excessive accessories, she stands on sculpt quality, tasteful sensuality, and strong character design. If your collection leans toward original characters, refined maid aesthetics, or figures that reward long looks rather than quick glances, Riana earns her place without question. She is available for pre-order with an expected Septembber 2026 release!
