Pre-Order Komase Now!

Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
Here we have the modern-day succubus in her most powerful seasonal form: the Christmas temptress. Note the relaxed posture, the inviting sweater, and the strategic deployment of ribbons. It is a present all too alluring to go unnoticed. She is not hunting. No, dear reader. She is waiting. And you, poor soul, have already taken the bait.

Union Creative’s Komase-chan, based on an original illustration by Kanna Narushima, is a festive feast for the eyes. This 1/7 scale figure blends holiday cheer with classic succubus charm, delivering a sculpt that’s equal parts cozy and captivating.

Narushima-sensei is known for their soft, dreamy character designs that blend sensuality with a gentle atmosphere. Their work often features pastel palettes, delicate expressions and a signature softness in anatomy and pose that feels both intimate and inviting. Komase-chan is a perfect example of this style, alluring without being aggressive, detailed without being overdesigned, and unmistakably Narushima in every curve and contour.

While Narushima-sensei does plenty of adult-only works, their X account is mostly SFW and shows an interesting range in capabilities. Many artists in the ecchi space lean into exaggerated proportions and overt sexuality, but Narushima’s work stands out for its restraint and softness. Their characters are both sensual and sweet. Even when the designs are revealing, there’s a sense of intimacy and personality that makes them feel more like characters than just pin-ups. They also apparently have decided to master the art of creating realistic fish…

Komase-chan isn’t your typical over-the-top succubus. She is a reoccurring character in Narushima’s work and is generally shown as being accident prone, easily flustered and enjoys lazing around. There are no wings, no horns, no over the top skimpy outfits, usually.

Her only otherworldly features are long, elf-like ears and a tail that is stereotypical or the succubus archetype. Her outfit is a masterclass in balance: revealing but not vulgar. The heart shaped cutouts on her sweater, exposed shoulders and thigh-highs hints at something naughty while maintaining a comfy homebody image with some cute white slippers.

Komase-chan’s pose is playful and almost childlike. Arms spread out, balancing on one foot she could be twirling in a circle or even taunting you into some mischievous fun.

The ribbon wrapped around her combined with the Santa hat makes it a fun Christmas themed figure. Since it does not lean so heavily into the holiday design, it works as a year round display piece and shouldn't look out of place in a collection.

The sculpt is very well done with nice details throughout. I am a bit concerned that her hair cowlick may be easy to break but from photos it seems to have some thickness to provide durability. The folds in her sweater and the subtle muscle definition in her back and thighs give the figure a sense of realism that elevates it beyond simple fanservice.

The ribbon around her has a nice glossy finish that catches the eye. The shading and paint techniques do well to break up the pale beige sweater and light pink hair. The blush and expressive face on Komase-chan is definitely one of the big highlights for the figure.

Succubus figures usually go all in on fanservice, but Komase-chan proves that subtlety can be just as powerful. Do you prefer your succubi soft and sleepy or bold and brazen? Happy holidays and wishing you all a healthy New Year!
