Bandai's Relax Time Series: A Perfect Addition to Your Collection!

Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
Most of the time, anime figures fall into two categories: over the top action poses or extremely cute/ecchi bishoujo pieces. Bandai however has introduced a new figure series to provide collectors with something a little different. Their Relax Time Series is a very affordable prize figure line featuring off-shots of random moments, everyday life and more natural happenings. There is nothing really flashy about these figures but the simplicity works extraordinarily well.
As the name suggests, the Relax Time figures showcase your favorite anime heroines in a more relaxed environment. Choice of outfits is generally pajamas or casual, everyday wear but we occasionally get something a bit more spicy, like the Elsa and Ai figures.
There is a fair bit of variety in posing and facial expressions. These figures are designed to sit or lay on a flat surface and are base-less which allows for much more flexibility with where and how to display them.
This prize figure series is getting a lot of love and attention from Bandai. They recently did a big marketing campaign in Tokyo’s otaku district, Akihabara. The focus of the campaign was their recently released and soon to be released relax time figures of the Uma Musume Season 3 girls.
Bandai generally tries to make a few Relax Time figures from the same series which makes them an easy item to collect and display, with little trouble to make them look great together. Hololive for example has a sizable collection of its own and is a great representation of what Bandai and Relax Time has to offer. They are still great representations of the character, but provide something a little different.
Some of the other anime which have a fair number of Relax Time figures are Bleach

While you could build a collection using Relax Time alone, you certainly don’t need to. Even a single figure that you like should still be easy to incorporate into a collection. Thanks to their low profile poses they are exceedingly adaptable.
Now as for quality, it is admittedly a bit lacking. For a prize figure, it is on par and good for the price. If you are looking for something a little unique for your collection and don’t want to break the bank, give a Relax Time figure some love!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it!

Addicted to Kancolle Arcade. If I'm not raging with my fellow teitoku, you can find me hiking, playing the drums or taking pictures of random park benches to satisfy my love of anime pilgrimage!

These figures should have come out sooner! I have spent a lot of $$$ on stuff by Kotobukiya and Alter! ❤️
