Ever wondered what would happen if your hidden dreams suddenly hatched into real magic? Welcome to Shugo Chara!, the vibrant magical girl saga where three mysterious eggs ignite the power to become your truest self.

Shugo Chara!, also known as My Guardian Characters, is a magical girl manga series by duo, Peach-Pit that ran from December 2005 to August 2010. It follows elementary school student Amu Hinamori, whose infamous “cool and spicy” reputation masks her shy, introverted, uncertain heart. When she wishes to find the courage to be her true self, three colorful eggs appear and hatch into Guardian Characters. These guardians, Ran, Miki, and Su, each embody a facet of her would-be personality.

The series balances everyday school life with fairy-tale fun as Amu and her friends learn to chara-nari (transform) with a little help from the guardian powers. Together they hunt corrupt X Eggs and X Characters created by the Easter Company, purifying dreams and protecting their classmates’ hopes. Shugo Chara! won the 2008 Kodansha Manga Award for best children’s manga thanks to it's upbeat tone and heartfelt messages.

It got a 51 episode anime adaptation that ran in 2007 with a few spinoff sequela. Shugo Chara! has remained a staple of the magical girl genre and is a timeless classic. Amu Hinamori is the series’ protagonist. She is misjudged as bold and brash while secretly longing for confidence and authenticity. Despite her tough exterior, Amu’s journey is one of vulnerability, growth, and the power of believing in oneself.

With Shugo Chara! celebrating it's 20th anniversary, Kotobikiya is getting in on the action with a stunning 1/7 scale figure of Amu. Featured in her signature black jacket and checkered skirt, she has that signature punk-esque look.

Fine texturing on the jacket, skirt pattern, and belt buckle highlights Kotobukiya’s attention to authenticity and pop-cute charm, making this figure a standout centerpiece for any fan.

Kotobikiya did a great job with Amu’s pink hair, sculpting strands to give it more of a layered look. Her fun, lively expression along energetic pose recreates the upbeat, energetic days of elementary school life.

The base is simple yet effective. The X design is a nod to the series antagonists and Amu’s journey to protect her friends. Secure your pre-order of Amu and celebrate two decades of Shugo Chara!
