This figure seems to be getting a bad rap in a lot of reviews, and I am not entirely sure why.

Asuka is reproduced as she appeared in her penultimate scene in Shin Evangelion 3.0+1.0 to a high accuracy. All the tears in her plug suit line up with the scene in the movie, and the suit itself has a glossy finish as you'd expect.

One of the reasons I wanted to get this figure was that it portrays Auska Langley Shikinami's proper hair colour. Most statues and figures I see of her wildly overdue the orange saturation.

I do dislike the base they used for this figure - I like the clear disc used in the promo images much more, and I think her eye's could have used a little more saturation as her face can look a little flat from some angles.

Overall, for a figure representation on the cheaper side of the spectrum, I think this is a great figure which depicts a very important scene.

I expected it to be a little brighter… but the truth is that it was rather disappointing.
I wonder if it's caramel paint like a BANDAI kit? I was thinking, but it's not like that; it probably means you should buy a more expensive one
