Great Storyboards at a Great Price

I absolutely loved reading this book and would definitely recommend picking it up from here. That being said you do have to know what it is you're getting here.

If you're looking for more of a complete Artbook for Evangelion, you've got better options. The storyboards are basically a collection of very simple sketches that act as the plan for the shots that will appear in the show. Each director or artist has their own way of drawing story boards so the sketches can go to varying degrees of simplicity. Some people like Miyazaki and Hosoda draw sketches, yes, but they are very clean, clear and detailed. They look more like an under-drawing before it's inked a lot of the time.

Hideaki Anno, on the other hand, draws detailed caricatures sometimes, but oftentimes draws in a way that communicates the information in as few lines as possible. If you have seen the show, or feel like you can still get a good read of extremely simple or messy sketches, you probably won't be too thrown off here.

For those of you who already knew what you were getting into and were just looking for whether or not this is a good place to purchase from, it's fantastic. I bought a used copy that had a little ding on the plastic sleeve for the book for around $30 and it was such a steal that I literally bought this item a second time for one of my buddies. Lots of places like to up the price on these storyboard collection books so this was awesome.
