I purchased a lot of these Masamune Shirow books, not realizing just how graphic they were. However, the character design and artwork in them are incredible. I'm a character, armor, weapon, and clothing designer and hope to do it video games in a more official capacity one day. This was a heavy inspiration as it has that sort of bold Heavy Metal Fantasy style with a Japanese edge to it. I believe Japanese artists are the best when it comes to their take on western designs. Whether it's fantasy, sci fi, or even modern designs. From clothing to architecture.
