Desirable dragon maid.

I initially wasn't going to buy this figure and be satisfied with only owning the Lucoa. But the Ilulu was recently revealed and I thought it wouldn't feel right to ignore this one and I'm glad that I chose to order this. Tohru looks absolutely beautiful.

The paint and sculpt is on point with this figure. Her hair isn't a flat yellow but almost seems like a shade of gold with how it looks. Her golden locks have this distinct sheen which gives them some luster to try and imitate the appearance of actual hair. It does however lose that luster as it transitions over to the red tips of her hair. The attention to detail is to be desired because apart from the shading her fingernails and toenails are painted and have a slight gloss to differentiate them from the matte finish of her skin.

The sculpt is immaculate when you stop to pay attention to it. I know almost everyone will be focused on her impressive flame sacs but they didn't skip on the detailing of her bikini. On closer inspection you'll notice slight creases in what little fabric she's wearing to give it the appearance that it's stretching. While the front is the main attraction, there's enough to admire behind for those that are more fans of peaches.

I haven't been buying figures as much recently but I like the move to small magnets in the pegs to keep them in place. It makes removing parts less of a hassle and reduces the risk of breaking them. My only gripes are the base and the metal pin. The base is just so plain and boring compared to the figure that it feels somewhat jarring. As for the pin, it gets the job done in keeping the figure standing upright but mine is a fairly loose fit. It doesn't shake but if I'm not holding onto it when I pick up Tohru it's definitely falling off.

I'm glad I decided to buy this figure in the end. If you can afford all three dragon girls from Q Six you should definitely get all three. I can confidently say I won't be disappointed in owning all of them. On the contrary, it'd be more disappointing to not get at least your favorite one. Worth picking up without a doubt.
