(Some assembly is required, which is not a complaint; just a heads-up to people who do not like assembling figures. (I like assembly figures.))
This figure is truly one of a kind, a wonderfully designed figure from a company collab: Clover, which has never produced another like it with any of its other idols, and Max Factory, which is one of the best figure producers and manufacturers, as shown in this figure.
A wonderfully designed base with a rock formation; it is essential to note that most figures have either flat bases with solid color/simple patterns or include one extra part (soft fabric, a leg resting piece, etc.) However, this figure stands out in a collection because of this base; the anchor, including the chain, adds to this to give it a more dynamic/moving look.
Moving on to Marine herself, the pose is playful and cute while also being sexy, which goes perfectly with her character. The base-to-figure connector, which is at the feet, is hard to notice, making it seem like the figure is fully resting on the anchor. The detail in the outfit is spot on, and her face, especially her eyes, are wonderfully colored and toned; most figures have a problem with being a bit too decolored in skin tone and hair/eye color, which is not present in this figure, Her coat's wrinkles are incredibly detailed, and her hat, despite not being attached to the figure itself rests wonderfully on the head. Her hair also matches her coat in the sense of the "wind" moving it, making it pleasant on the eyes.
Lastly, the massive box (H:16.25 W:12.5in L: 11in; which might make storage difficult for some people) comes with multiple glamor shots of the figure itself; it looks great to display and show off to people.
5/5; I understand some people being put off by the price and might wish to look for a cheaper option, but with Solaris Japan's loyalty point system, it is worth it to buy from here as you get 10.66 dollars in points to put into another figure, and if you are a big Houshou Marine fan, it's a must-have for a collection.
(This figure is also my mom's favorite figure of all the ones I own)
