The Best So Far

Of the three currently released Trails figures from Kotobukiya, I think this one is the best so far in terms of quality. The paint and sculpting is really top-notch and looks perfectly representative of Rixia. (She's a bit of a tough character in my opinion, because her artwork looks one way, while the developers at Falcom keep making her bust comically larger and larger as the game series progresses...).

Now that I have Altina, Rean, & Rixia, I can try out swapping the face plates more (though this is not the deluxe version with the smiling face, you can still remove the hair to access the face plate). Unfortunately, they are all more or less unique connection shapes and not swap-able between characters. You can affix other character's faces and balance them in place, but it isn't a secure connection you can keep for long-term.

My only minor nitpick is that she has a large and awkward shelf footprint with her large sword and flying tassels going in two different directions. I think a more neutral pose would have been preferable. Maybe another gripe would be that the DX version is a smiling face, when the bonus part *clearly* should have been an extra hair piece with her Yin mask affixed... but this is not the DX version, so I will leave it at that.

Great figure.
