The sheer number of artists who have given their own unique flair to the traditionally idol pop diva makes it hard to imagine a Miku that doesn’t exist. Originating in 2016 as a sub-event of the international MIKU EXPO concert tour, Digital Stars has grown significantly in recent years. It showcases performances by musicians from around the world who draw inspiration from Hatsune Miku and other related Internet creative cultures. The main concept is to bring together talented musicians and provide them with a platform to showcase their creativity. Through Digital Stars, we can celebrate the global impact of Hatsune Miku and the vibrant community of fans and artists that have emerged around her.
Having been predominantly a live club event, Digital Stars has also embraced the online space. They hosted a DJ event in 2020 that garnered significant attention on social media and thousands of viewers tuning in. An internet radio program that delivers information on Digital Stars, submissions from listeners and special DJ mixes and interviews by various artists is also available periodically on twitch.
Punk Rock Diva: Miku Unleashes the Heavy Metal Rockstar Within!
Based on the main visual of Digital Stars 2022, drawn by popular illustrator HxxG, we get a truly stunning 1/7 scale figure! Prepare to rock out with this rebellious diva of the virtual world. This Miku takes punk and heavy metal inspiration to a whole new level, smashing the stage with her electrifying presence. It’s a big one, standing about 47 cm tall and 40 cm wide!
Standing tall atop a mountain of amps, she commands attention with her wild twintails ready to rock your virtual socks off! The color scheme of pink and black, creates a fusion of cute and fierce… just like a fluffy kitten with a mosh pit attitude. The addition of some blue highlights under the skirt match her blueish-green hair and create a very aesthetically pleasing image.
Her pose exudes confidence as she takes her place on the stage she built for herself, gripping the mic stand. Her eyes and facial expression aren't one of a cute little 16 year old girl, but instead show a bit of sass and defiance.
We can’t forget her edgy fashion choice! Her ripped stockings shout “who cares,” while her mini skirt adds a touch of punk rock rebellion. The large puffy jacket which is sliding off her shoulders shows that this version of Miku plays by her own rules. Both have a high level of detail and simulate texture rather well. Even from behind it is easy to appreciate!
The sports bra as a top works well with the overall design. The Digital Stars branding is a nice homage and the pink lace and star add some color highlights. The bat wing hair ties and redesigned devil headphones are completed by the addition of a gas mask style face cover.
The energy Miku exudes is so contagious that you can almost feel the virtual crowd going wild as she prepares to scream into the mic! The tattered flag attached to the microphone stand shows Miku is ready to lead the digital revolution. The x-pattern it makes with her hair completes the visual and adds another layer of depth.
Finally, we have an equally epic pedestal. A mish mash of amplifiers and electronics matches the aesthetic of the figure perfectly. A significant amount of time went into modeling and subtle details like the buttons and wires strewn about are fantastic finishing touches!

This figure is just AMAZING!!! I think it rivals the one where she is on a old time record player, that is actually a music box, and she’s on top as a ballerina. Her dress is see through and looks like crystal, it’s simple MAGNIFICENT!!! They each have totally separate themes, but they are both simply beautiful.
