Here at Solaris we say that you can never have too much Saber. She’s one of the figure makers’ favorite characters to portray! And she’s also writer-san’s personal favorite. (灬♥ω♥灬) I mean, who doesn’t like Saber, even if they’ve never watched the Fate series or played their game? Great characters transcend the boundaries of their original franchises.
Today’s Early Bird is a festive and colorful version of Saber Lily!
This figure of the Knight Princess was inspired by an illustration made for the Fate/Grand Order Fes. 2019 ~ Chaldea Park.
The youthful Saber Lily skips on the cobblestones with steps as light as the balloons in her hands. Minnie Mouse, step aside: Chaldea Park has the greatest heroic spirit to greet you at the door! ヾ(๑❛ ▿ ◠๑ )
I can’t tell which one is brightest: the colorful ribbons streaming from the balloons or Saber’s excited smile! Every inch of her is enthusiastic, from the pose to the golden hair swaying in the wind, as carefree as a young princess can be.
Kadokawa put in their maximum effort to make her look great from all angles. All of the textures on her outfit are carefully and realistically reproduced: note the contrast between the shiny buttons on her vest, the sheen of her leather boots, and the softness of her dress.
Saber’s signature colors gain a new dimension in this figure. The royal blue and the bright gold — usual symbols of her nobility — evoke memories of a perfect day at the park: clear skies, bright sun, and just the right temperature to enjoy running around from ride to ride and from food stall to food stall. One day, just a few hours of truce, won’t hurt the Holy Grail War...I hope. (´∀｀；)
