Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
What’s your idea of a romantic date? Candlelit dinner at a French restaurant? Late night drinks at a hotel bar? Or a fun-filled day at an amusement park with stunning views of Mount Fuji?
Well, if you want to woo a certain history nerd, the latter is the best option.{・ω -*}
Today we’re looking at this lovingly bashful figure of Quintessential Quintuplets fan-favorite, Miku Nakano!
Quintessential Quintuplets is a romantic comedy written by Negi Haruba and animated by Bibury Animation Studios. At first glance, it looks like your typical harem anime: a bunch of very cute girls of varying personalities all fall in love with the same guy, who is usually rather bland.( ̄へ ̄ )
However, there is a twist, and it makes the whole trope spiral into a whirlwind of possibilities and sets it apart from other anime in the genre: the girls are quintuplets, gorgeously identical in all but personality. (●☆⌓☆)
Ichika, the eldest, is calm on the surface, but has a serious mischievous streak.
Nino, the second born, is a quintessential mean girl. But it comes from a place of love!
Miku, our star today (and always), is sweet and bashful.
Yotsuba is always brimming with energy and positivity!
Finally, Itsuki is serious and proper, the only one who seems to make use of her brain in the series.
The male love interest, Fuutarou Uesugi, isn't lacking either: he's an unfair combination of good brains and good looks. He is, however, overly focused on academic achievement and arrogant in his view of high school life and teenage drama. But the Nakano sisters are there to drag him into *all* of the drama! ( ̄︶ ̄ ;)
The one thing I personally love about this anime is how it portrays the relationship between the sisters, showing the development of not only the romance, but of their bond as family.
You'd think that identical quintuplets would be used as a design shortcut, as it can sometimes be (looking at you, Lilith) but Negi Haruba doesn't skimp on character design. At least for the viewer, they are all very distinct. Then, Bibury Animation Studios comes in and animates them, sparing neither color nor sparkle to make sure we understand that, undoubtedly, the Nakano sisters are drop-dead G O R G E O U S.
♡♡(ŐωŐ人)♡♡
Which makes them perfect subjects for figures of all types, as you can see in our store: in uniform, little black dress, sundress, pajamas, and bikini, there's a Nakano quintuplet for all date types — even for "the" big day!
Manga readers already know which quint won, but anime watchers are still holding their breath for the grand reveal once the Quintessential Quintuplets movie arrives on streaming platforms.
Until then, we dream and cheer for our perfect waifu. And for most of the fanbase, Miku has already won! ♡✧( ु•⌄• )
Miku Nakano, the third born quintuplet, is a history nerd who hides behind her flamboyant sisters at first, but soon finds the courage to come out of her shell and discover the depth of her own heart!
Good Smile Company is the figure maker behind this 1/6 scale figure of Miku, which will be released in July 2023. They have previously released her Pop Up Parade and Nendoroids (standard, available now, and Swacchao, releasing in December 2022).
In this scale, she's dressed up cozily but stylishly for a date at Fuji-Q Highland, the record-setting amusement park that sits at the foot of Mount Fuji.
The venue is known for collaborating with several anime franchises, holding special, exclusive events where limited edition food and goods can be bought. Among the famous franchises they have collaborated with previously is Re:Zero - Starting Life in a New World, Sword Art Online, BanG Dream!, Hololive, and, of course, Fate/Stay Night. So, when you finally make a pilgrimage to the land of anime and manga, make sure to add Fuji-Q Highland to your itinerary for a chance to get some exclusive anime goods!

The Quintessential Quintuplet event was held from March to April 2021. This promo picture was the inspiration for the figure’s design!
And there couldn’t be a better collaboration: five beautiful girls on a date at the heart of the Fuji Five Lakes region. Besides, the anime series itself is a rollercoaster of emotions, with Futarou’s affections being tossed and jolted in all directions. This leaves us, the fans, on the edge of our seats as we cheer for our favorite girl to win. (・д・。) The stars aligned for this one!
Good Smile Company brings the best Nakano sister to the 3D world with a highly-detailed sculpt and a soft, cool palette. Even when going out, Miku doesn’t leave behind her emotional support headphones. d( ̄◇ ̄)b Everything about this figure feels gentle and warm, like the cocoons introverts like to create for themselves. She glances up from the Fuji-Q Highland guide, wondering which ride would give her the opening to finally confess… (´ ⌣`ʃƪ)
We can almost picture her amidst the chilly winds that caress the fields around Mount Fuji thanks to the slight billowing of her light blue cardigan. Her hair, which is often pinched under her headphones, is styled with a ribbon. It’s a small detail, but Miku fans will know that this means she’s serious about looking her best on this date! (・`ω´・ ●)
This lovely 1/6 scale of Miku will be released at the end of July 2023. We currently have an Early Bird promotion going on for this figure, so pre-order today to save 18% on your order! With both figures and amusement parks, it’s always best to be early.
