Pre-Order Nadeshiko (scale, figma, and Nendoroid) Now!
Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
As temperatures drop with the coming typhoons, bringing a much-needed break from the intense heat of Japanese summer, we start to contemplate the changing season. We’re already past the first half of 2021, and on the downhill to cooler weather!
And with cooler weather comes…camping!
Though this year will be a little sparse for new episodes in the Yurucamp series (the movie is expected to come out in 2022), the magic of the slice-of-life genre is that we can always revisit our favorite moment anytime we want.
Today we’re looking at some awesome fall releases of our favorite camping enthusiast, Nadeshiko Kagamihara! ٩( ๑╹ ꇴ╹)۶
First up, this cheerful scale by WING, to remind us of the encounter with pro camper Rin! Who, by the way, has a scale by the same maker setting up camp soon, in just a week or so. Nadeshiko is still coming up the hill, and is expected to arrive in September. They both pair to recreate a scene from the first episode of season 1, when they met on the shores of Lake Motosu. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ............( ་ ⍸ ་ )
While Rin chills around the campfire with her gear, Nadeshiko runs wild across the campsite. I can’t believe this girl still has the energy to sprint around after pedalling uphill for hours! I’m exhausted just by looking at her. (;´ Д`)
That says a lot about her pose: this figure is overflowing with energy, just like the character is. With arms wide open, half flying, half Naruto-running, twintails dancing in the wind, she has not a single care in the world other than watching Mount Fuji!
With her pink dress, pink jacket, and bright green shoes, Nadeshiko looks like a living version of her namesake, a Japanese flower. It is interesting to notice that her hair is somewhat similar to the flower’s petals!
The figure comes with a sitting log (which has seen little use) and a cozy campfire. The flame effect is very realistic! I even feel a little more comfy just looking at it. I just want to curl up in a blanket...
...exactly like that, yeah!
MaxFactory’s figma Nadeshiko is all about the good life. It captures the sweet and comedic (and gourmet, too, why not?) tone that made this series so popular in the iyashikei midst.
There are two versions: a standard one, with just curry noodles for dinner, and a deluxe one, with a gyoza hotpot, a generous helping and curry noodles again, but as a late night snack.
The DX edition also comes with a blanket to keep her warm while the hotpot simmers. Burrito Nadeshiko is everything I never knew I wanted! ( ♡∀♡)
The blanket burrito is, just like the figma, only available with the DX edition. The nendo has a different dish (baked tomato) and a few more items of gear, such as her backpack and the much-coveted gas lantern.
Which Nadeshiko mood is your favorite: hyper or laid-back?
We hope you enjoyed this one!
Until next time! ヾ(^∇^)
