This week temperatures hit 30°C + (86° where F is for FREEDOM), at least where writer-san lives. ε-(´・｀) ﾌ That’s the point at which ice cream becomes a daily staple, pedicured toes peek out, and the nethers get to feel the breeze when one's sundress flutters in the wind!
It is a wonderful time for everyone. When it’s not rainy, that is. Because when it is, our only solace is the beauty of the hydrangeas…
Another thing that is simply the best during the summer is water. Lots of clear, pure, pristine water!

This original character is the work of illustrator fuzichoco. Sound familiar? That’s because that artist is the one responsible for a Faberge-esque rendition of the Little Mermaid that was covered in an earlier post. Definitely check out fuzichoco’s page if you ever need to cool off. The way the illustrator draws water gives the drawings the magical ability of instantly making you feel refreshed!
In this figure, the theme is sweeter and more light-hearted. A splash in the crystal waters of an island in the Pacific!
This will be a summer to remember! This aestival siren has hair as white as the sand below. It floats and curls daintily in the water as she recovers from the splash and begins to swim forward. It is a beautiful contrast with the emerald green of her eyes.
She wears a stylish dress-bikini hybrid with a sailor collar. This beats the boring swimwear given by schools any day! They should take note and make them as fashionable as this one.
The top has frills on the chest and on the hem, from whence a translucent tunic drapes down to her thighs. This tunic has an intricate hemline of its own, with flower designs reminiscent of plumerias and gerberas. It is less diaphanous compared to the original artwork, but the cling and sway of the fabric still adds to the illusion of this figure drifting through an undersea paradise — almost like a jellyfish!
The navy blue of her bikini bottom shows through the transparent robe. Swim around her for a better vantage point!
A multitude of colorful daisies swirl in the wake of her splash. They almost give her an aura of magical girl mid-transformation.
“Heed my call, o heat of the sun! Magical Summer Girl activate: Water Prism!” (˵╹◡╹)━☆ would be her incantation. She would fit right in Madoka’s universe! No grief can stand against the splendor of the sun.
She glides through the water, dispelling all your sorrows and fears. In the water, you’re weightless; it’s almost like flying. So take her hand and follow her through a beautiful underwater world, where nothing can hold you down! (=´∀`)人(´∀‘=)
