Characters with glasses often have an under appreciated charm to them. Meganekko (glasses girls) are cute, sweet and usually portrayed as timid and shy, while also being clever. Falling into typical bookworm tropes, they are relatable and often fit the role of the childhood friend or big-sister.

Enter Alice-chan. She doesn’t wear her glasses. She wields them.

Toridamono is the alchemist of flesh when it comes to character designs. Known for his work on Atelier Ryza, FGO, and the 2023 Racing Miku design, his signature style fuses soft, flesh-toned sensuality with the cool gleam of leather. His girls are never passive, they’re sculpted to provoke. Whether it’s the curve of a thigh or the glint of a belt buckle, every detail is a dare.

Alice-chan is one of his original creations, and Max Factory’s 1/7 scale figure translates her from 2D tease to 3D beauty with surgical precision.

Alice-chan is given some casino motifs and exhibits both charm and control. Her pose is confident, yet thanks to the swappable face plates she is given two distinct looks. With glasses donned, her smile is calm but also challenging you. Is Alice-chan a secret poker pro? It's up to you to risk it all and find out.

With glasses off, she has a more shy, slightly embarrassed look giving the impression she may have miscalculated you. Whichever version of meganekko you like, this figure delivers. With glasses in hand, I think Toridamono did a perfect job framing Alice-chan’s face with her bangs. It's an insanely cute look.

The kemomimi and tail add a layer of playfulness and they are always welcome additions to enhance the moe aesthetic.

Max Factory captured Toridamono’s aesthetic with obsessive fidelity. The textures are standout with perfect use of shading and clean paintwork.

Toridamono makes sure all of his girls are healthy and always gives fans a big serving of thighs. Alice-chan has plenty of squish, but looks stylish and composed like any respectful meganekko would. While this is most certainly a bishoujo figure with plenty of ecchi appeal, it is more refined and doesn't try to shove it in your face. It is the gentleman's bishoujo figure.

Another element that always seems to elevate Toridamono’s works is their ability to craft unique fantasy elements that build a world you want to know more about. The cane/staff Alice-chan is leaning on is intriguing. It fits the gambling theme but also fits right into a RPG world. Subtle things like the pin on her chest to the markings on her skirt and jacket tell us there is more than just an adorable girl with glasses.
