Fun-sized Forgers for Christmas? Yes, please!

Pre-Order Nendoroid Anya, Loid, and Yor Now!

Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷  .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
Oh, summertime sadness. q(╯ᆺ╰๑) The back-to-school blues are palpable. But hey, it could be worse. You could be the kingpin of a mission to maintain world peace, like little Anya Forger from Spy x Family!
Today we’re looking at the Nendoroids by Good Smile Company of this peculiar “family,” the Forgers.
Yor Briar, Anya Forger, and Loid Forger Spy x Family Nendoroids
But first, a quick intro: Spy x Family is a spy action-comedy series written by mangaka Tatsuya Endo. It was first published on Shonen Jump in 2019 and then turned into an anime by Wit Studio, airing in April 2022. The series took the world by storm with the utterly adorable Anya and her meme-worthy expressions. (๑˃́ꇴ˂̀)
This kid carries the peace between the neighboring countries of Westalis and Ostania in her hands! She does have telepathic powers, but such things can only be so useful in the hands of a child…and that is one of my favorite points of the series: how Endo writes Anya so realistically. None of those “precocious child” tropes; Anya is more imaginative than she is smart, as any child her age would be. ( ̄︶ ̄ ;) She’s all personality and not much brain, but that’s OK! Because she has her (adoptive) father to guide her in the mission: the master of disguises, Nanami Kent…
I mean, Loid Forger, codename Twilight. This agent of the Westalian Intelligence Service is simply the perfect spy: charming, smart, and extremely skilled in basically anything (including cooking). There is no information he can’t extract, no track he can’t erase. He stops at nothing to achieve his goal: from the usual spy tricks to renting a whole castle to please his pretend daughter, Loid completes the mission, no matter the cost (...literally, to the dismay of his agency). (つд`)
Of course, when it comes to children, it often takes two to tango. Specifically for this mission, a mother was also necessary. As fate would have it, Loid chose an assassin.

By accident, of course. Yor Briar, codename Thorn Princess, is a simple civil servant by day and deadly assassin by night. As beautiful as she is freaky, this femme fatale is as deadly as her pretend husband. They don’t know of each other’s true identities, however… ∩˙▿˙∩
Thus supported by a skilled spy for a father and a bloodthirsty mercenary for a mother, little Anya has all she needs to infiltrate the prestigious Eden Academy, make friends with the second son of a prominent political leader and earn her fake family an opportunity to influence the fate of the country. Simple and easy! (ᅌᴗᅌ* )
Well, kinda. But that’s all I’m going to say. I highly suggest you watch the series and get a good dose of Anya cuteness yourself. With part 2 coming in October 2022, there’s no better time than the present to start! The series is very bingeable, with only 12 episodes released so far.
Spy × Family - Anya Forger - Nendoroid #1902 (Good Smile Company)
Good Smile Company had it easy when they decided to turn Anya into a Nendoroid. Being a first-grader, she’s already chibified! (´ ⌣`ʃƪ)
Just take a look at our stock of Anya figures. Very little changes: from the 1/7 scale and the noodle stopper by FuRyu to the Tenohira (to be released in September 2022) and the Look Up (to be released in October 2022) figures by MegaHouse, no detail is lost. It’s even a little difficult to tell which ones are which if you’re not familiar with the figure series of each maker. (´∀`;)
Anya Forger figures
The figures by MegaHouse are available for pre-order at our store, while the cute noodle stopper is currently in stock. Unfortunately, pre-orders for the scale have closed…Shop Exclusives go fast. But back to Nendoroid Anya, which has, in my humble opinion, the best detail-to-price ratio.
Spy x Family Anya Nendoroid face plates
Her funny faces were what made her so lovable, and no other figure can come close to the expressivity of Nendoroids. This figure comes with four face plates: puppy-eyed, happy, shook, and smug. And she drags Mr. Chimera in tow, probably the most normal creature in this family.
Spy × Family - Loid Forger - Nendoroid #1901 (Good Smile Company)
Because even dad Loid isn’t exactly your average father. He has the façade of a gentleman, but his mind is constantly on the mission. And this one has been the most trying so far, as any parent will be able to tell you. There is only one thing that can contort that (charming) poker face of his, and it’s Anya’s antics.
Spy x Family Anya and Tasogare Twilight Nendoroids
Serious blonde dad with an airhead pink-haired child is a dynamic I want to see more of. ( ๑ÒωÓ๑ )
Nendoroid Loid Forger Twilight Tasogare face plates and hair parts
NendoLoid comes with two hairstyles (hair up and hair down) and three face plates: John Wick, good doctor, and disappointed with his family. Plus a pistol and a newspaper to conceal that pistol, of course. Silencer not included, unfortunately. ( ╯﹏╰ )
Spy × Family - Yor Forger - Nendoroid #1903 (Good Smile Company)
If you need someone dealt with quietly, leave it to mama bear Yor. (。▼皿▼) A very strange mix of kind-hearted and well-intentioned with an ungodly penchant for gore. The gap moe is getting to me, and I fear I might give in…
Yor Forger Q Posket and S.H. Figuarts
Unbelievably, other than this cute Nendoroid, there are no scales of Yor yet! There is an S.H. Figuarts by Bandai Spirits coming in December 2022 and two Q Poskets (the A version has more saturated colors, while the B version has a calmer palette). While no prototypes have been officially revealed yet, we hope to see a scale figure of her sometime soon, because Yor is prime material for one. (✧ᗜ✧)
Solaris Japan YouTube MegaHouse Puchirama Spy x Family unboxing
The next best thing to a figure of Yor in action is the Puchirama series by MegaHouse. In fact, we unboxed and reviewed all of the Spy x Family Puchirama figures on our English YouTube along with a French versionAbonnez-vous! (๑・ω-)
Nendoroid Yor Forger face plates and accessories
Nendoroid Yor comes with two stakes, the weapons that give her the name “Thorn Princess,” and three face plates: sweet mama, cold killer, and happy wife. I find the lack of drunk and angry face plates criminal, but Good Smile Company may yet redeem themselves if they release a Pop Up Parade of Yor. (◔ᴥ◔)
Forger Family Spy x Family Nendoroids
This deadly but happy family is set to release in the winter of 2022, with papa Loid coming first, in November 2022, then Anya and Yor being released in December 2022. Summer is already over and winter will be here in the blink of an eye, so don’t waste any time: pre-order today٩( ๑╹ ꇴ╹)۶
We hope you enjoyed this one!
Until next time! ヾ(^∇^)
