Today’s Early Bird special is Vergil, the next Devil May Cry 5 addition to Kotobukiya’s ARTFX J lineup!
Just like the other DMC5 figures in the series, Vergil is posed preparing for battle. Facing forward, he twists his torso slightly as he pulls Yamato from its sheath. The fluttering of his tail coats really helps amplify the action of his stance!
You can also recreate action-packed scenes from the game when displaying Vergil with his twin brother Dante (sold separately).
“I won’t lose to the likes of you...little brother!”
Of course, the level of detail in this ARTFX J release is absolutely stunning! Vergil’s updated DMC5 outfit has been perfectly recreated - even the tattered tails of his new black coat have been carefully sculpted and painted.
While harder to spot from a distance, the geometric lines and layered fabric of his vest are almost mesmerizing with their elaborate design.
And check out the different textures of his outfit! His signature long tailcoat is adorned in serpentine designs, which have been painted to mimic a stitchwork-like texture. The rougher texture of the leather only amplifies this amazing detail!
Even the texture of his gaiters is strikingly unique - its rough texture against that of the smoother leather straps is really incredible!
Yamato has also been faithfully recreated; from the white tsuka-ito on its hilt to the welding pattern of the blade, Vergil’s trademark katana looks incredibly realistic. Even Vergil’s physical characteristics have a remarkable amount of detail, like the fine lines of his fingers.
You can see even more of this with his facial expression: the lines of his furrowed brow, the shadows of his cheekbones, the dark circles under his eyes. It really elevates the intensity of his intimidating gaze!

"Vergil, Dante’s twin from Devil May Cry 5, is the next to join the ARTFX J series! Posed as if just preparing for battle, Vergil has partially unsheathed his famous katana Yamato as he looks on with unnerving determination. His familiar outfit, with its new dark tones, has been carefully recreated with attention to different textures and colors. Even Yamato’s detailing makes it look like it can be used for battle in real life. Make sure you add Vergil to your collection!”
P.S. Don’t forget to pose Dante and Nero alongside Vergil!
