Yes the masterpiece figure is better and it's a shame that the eyes, nose and mouth are not drawn; and yes the alt mode here is a bit weird but as far as robot mode goes it's the best Spike exo-suit we've ever had, plus it comes with two unique explosive effects so for the price it's hard not to recommend it as a complement to the other Transformers the Movie figures.
