Sugar can be a great thing to get you a busy day. The boost of dopamine that gets released can provide a temporary uplifting feeling. During a bad day you can get a quick burst of energy, and it's a way some handle stress. There's a reason a pint of ice cream goes well with a side of misery. Don't want the sugar rush crash or diabetes? There is a healthier way to get your sugar high with Eve!

A few months ago I wrote about illustrator rurudo's recent success with Carneades and original character Elle. This time, we take a look at her partner Eve done as an original creation. A lot of rurudo figures have been very much adult oriented with cast off options and explicit in nature. With a plethora of recent figure announcements we are getting more “classy” figures that are ecchi but not overtly sexual.

Eve is an interesting character being a devil but good natured in spirit. Revealing clothes may be the formal dress of demons, but Eve is sometimes depicted as being embarrassed by this overexposure in rurudo's art. In the figure by Lim Land we get the sweetest iteration yet.

Eve's character design is top notch. Her purple twintails go nicely with the black bow and earring accessories. Her expression is soft and listless, matching the pose of lounging around.

She has about as much clothing as we can expect, with much skin exposed.

At first glance it is a relatively unassuming visual but it does an excellent job pulling the viewer in and holding attention. The central point is Eve’s face, but you are simultaneously drawn to her curves and intrigued by her wings.

Despite there being not much to her garments, it actually has a decent amount of detail. The frills of her top and skirt (if you can call it that) add a bit of texture.

The heart ring on her thigh strap is a nice, simple addition that looks good. Lim Land also did a nice job giving the thigh highs a matte finish and keeping her shoes looking shiny.

The stuffed animals around Eve add to her cuteness. Giving them bandages and crosses on their eyes is the perfect balance of child-like fun with an adult twist. Despite the young-ish theme of the figure it has a mature elegance.

Like all rurudo figures, Eve is definitely a sweet treat. Great sculpt, nice pose and excellent paintwork make this a great bishoujo figure for any collector. Eve is currently available for pre-order and expected to release towards the end of the year!
