Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
Blind box collectibles have exploded in popularity thanks to their mix of surprise, scarcity, and the thrill of the unknown. Each box hides a mystery figure, and the chase for rare pulls keeps collectors hooked… at least until you repeatedly miss your favorite or scalpers swoop in. But it raises a question: does a blind box still feel exciting if there’s no rare prize at all?
CHILLfigg is a new figure line that focuses on stylized, compact, collectible 1/10‑scale figures. Instead of going for hyper‑realistic detail or large display pieces, CHILLfigg leans into clean silhouettes, expressive poses and accessible pricing, making them perfect for collectors who want a full lineup without sacrificing shelf space. They’re designed to be fun, cohesive and display beautifully as a set.
Vision, the manufacturer behind CHILLfigg is making its debut with a set from an old but loved franchise. Choosing To LOVEru Darkness is a safe bet. Plenty of cuties from the series, there really isn't a massive disappointing pull. While pre-orders are open, you can reserve the set, guaranteeing them all. The idea however, is for CHILLfigg to be a blind box product. Post release, it is very likely that you will be forced to gacha.
To LOVEru Darkness is the more mature, more dramatic sequel to the original To LOVEru series. While still packed with comedy and fanservice, Darkness dives deeper into character arcs, especially those of Momo, Yami, and Yui while exploring themes of identity, desire, and emotional growth. The series is beloved for its colorful cast and the way it blends chaos with heartfelt moments.
The Goddess Dress designs come from the 15th Anniversary Exhibition illustration, where the heroines were reimagined in flowing, divine‑inspired outfits. These dresses combine holy elegance with the playful charm the series is known for.
Each character’s pose and design reflects their personality like Lala’s bright energy…
…Yami’s cool mystique…
… and Momo’s seductive softness.
The CHILLfigg Goddess Dress figures are surprisingly impressive from the promotional figures. The sculpting is clean, with sharp hair strands, smooth dress contours, and expressive faces that match each girl.
At 1/10 scale, they strike a balance between affordability and display presence, making them ideal for collectors who want a large cast without committing to massive shelves. At the same time, these are small and in a bigger collection, may need help grabbing attention. The only thing I can't get behind is why Nana and Mea were left out. If they made 6, why not go for all 8?
