It has been a year since the hit game, Unicorn Overlord, was released. Developed by Vanillaware, this RPG combines strategic battles with a rich narrative, drawing players into a world of fantasy and adventure. It's stylized visuals, immersive storytelling and intricate gameplay captivated gamers and left them with a satisfying experience. Unicorn Overlord was one of the best gaming experiences of 2024 and any fans of tactical/strategy RPGs should give it a try.

Set in a realm where kingdoms vie for power, Unicorn Overlord has players leading armies, forging alliances and working to bring peace to the land. Its hand-drawn art style and deep character development have made it a smash hit you can't put down.
One of the characters you are introduced to early in the game is Scarlett, the protagonist's childhood friend. A priestess of the Parevian Orthodox Church, she tends to the cathedral fulfilling her goal. Until her town is caught up in a rebellion and she is held captive.

Scarlett is a very strong character and an integral part of your army. After liberating your old hometown and saving Scarlett, she joins you on your quest to bring peace. Scarlett's character is a blend of strength and elegance, embodying both a fierce warrior spirit and a compassionate heart. As an S tier character with a commanding presence, players have plenty of opportunities to see her in action as she will be regularly used in combat.

With a year passing, we are finally getting some figures. As shown in a previous blog post, Kotobukiya has big plans for several figures of Unicorn Overlord's favorite heroines. The first is a 1/7 scale of none other than Scarlett!

The figure is modeled after her in game visual and is a perfect representation of Scarlett. The pose, iconic red dress and gentle expression reflect her dual nature of grace and strength.

Kotobukiya is well known for their high quality, attention to detail and exceptional craftsmanship. They are able to recreate different textures through top tier paintwork and intricate sculpt.

The shading and vibrance of the paint look terrific. Having seen this figure in person last month, I had nothing bad to say.

Scarlett’s drill hair style is a bit complicated but even that looks well done.
She is stepping out of the game world and onto your shelf.

The base design further enhances the display, echoing the game's aesthetic and immersing the viewer in its world.
