Pre-Order Itsuki Nakano Now!
Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
Do I write too much about the quints? Absolutely. Am I going to stop? Absolutely not. At least not until I have given each quint their own post. With so many to choose from, it's almost unfair to make us choose only one!
Thankfully, we're not Fuutarou, so we don't have to. When it comes to anime figures, you can have them all!
But today we’re focusing on only one quintuplet. We’re going to take a look at this absolutely stunning Itsuki Nakano 1/7 Shibuya Scramble figure by eStream!
The youngest sister of the Nakano quintuplets takes your breath away with her beauty and poise.
But if you’ve never heard of the Nakano quintuplets, read on to find out everything you’ve been missing out on.
Academic prodigy Fuutarou Uesugi is hired to tutor his classmates, a troublesome quintet. The Nakano sisters, identical quintuplets known for being all beauty and no brains, need to graduate successfully. Having already failed in the past, these girls are willing to put heart and soul into their studies should they find the right person to guide them. And Fuutarou is just the guy! He inadvertently makes all five sisters put more heart than soul into their academics, which results in a love story that spans two seasons and a movie.
“Perfect 10/10 quintuplets all in love with the same guy???” ask both the genre enthusiast and the hater in very different tones. No, it’s not what you think, and it’s not a walk in the park for the male protagonist either. The anime is as much about the relationship between the sisters as much as it is about the blossoming love. And in this particular situation, victory will come at a bitter price: the chosen one will have her wish fulfilled at the expense of her beloved sisters’ hearts. Love is a zero-sum game, after all.
Despite being identical, these charming sisters have very different personalities and quirks, and the variety gives Fuutarou a run for his money.
Ichika is a foxy onee-san, mischief in the flesh.
Nino is the ultimate diva, a classic tsundere.
Miku’s geeky and shy. The epitome of an introvert.
Yotsuba is Miku’s complete opposite: a loud bundle of bright and positive vibes.
Finally, Itsuki. The default quintuplet. The quintessential girl next door.
She's the one who looks up to their late mother the most, so much that she took it upon herself to mother her sisters despite being the youngest. Itsuki is rational, hard-working, and straightforward — a realistic, dutiful high schooler. None of her traits are extreme like her sisters', which causes her to be sort of the middle child of the quints: the one who is left to her own devices and ends up forgotten by everyone. Heck, even the actual shrinking violet of the sisters manages to captivate more fans with her cute shyness than Itsuki with her prim and proper manners.
Even I will admit I forget about her most of the time. Yet there is just something about her design that just works to make her pop whenever a figure is involved. It's probably that luscious mane of hers.
But Shibuya Scramble is here to bring this quint out of the shadow of her sisters and let her shine once and for all with its floral dress series!
Itsuki walks down the aisle with poise, holding a bouquet of roses. She is a rose herself, a classic symbol of femininity. Bright red from head to toes, red mane flowing in the flower-scented breeze. The layers on her skirt make it seem like she's dancing, twirling down the stone steps into the arms of her beloved.
As usual, the base of this Shibuya Scramble figure is a whole scene on its own: the bicolor tiles under her feet and the flowery vines clinging to the wrought iron fence hints at a location: a carefully curated garden. You know, the type that people book for special occasions…
The rose theme is a clear and obvious message: choose Itsuki and your life will be all roses. She’s rational, mild, and has just enough attitude to make life interesting. That’s it, she won, she’s the bride. But of course, Fuutarou will miss this hint too. So here’s another huge sign to choose Itsuki — she’s clothed in the color of love and passion!
Red is Itsuki’s trademark color, as seen in other figures:
In the Fuji-Q Date Style series by Good Smile Company (available for pre-order now), Itsuki skips from food stall to food stall in her red coat. While her sisters are seeking thrills on one of the seven roller coasters in the amusement park, this gluttonous quint is sampling amuse-bouches in one of the many, many restaurants Fuji-Q Highland has to offer.
And now we’re here. A couple dates and you’re infatuated with her beauty, enamored with her rationality and captivated by her appetite. Itsuki is the chosen one, the rose reigning supreme in this garden of flowers. She’s dazzling in her floral dress and worthy of being taken to church, just like this!
So, are you going to put a ring on it? Itsuki is scheduled to be released in October 2023. Pre-orders are currently open!
