Rosuuri isn’t just an illustrator, she’s a tactician of visual seduction. Known for her great usage of lighting and shadows, delicate palettes and very expressive character designs, Rosuuri has carved out a niche where softness masks subversion. Her art often dances between whimsy and melancholy, with characters that feel real and relatable while maintaining a fairy tail vibe.

Her original characters, White Rabbit Rosu and Cheshire Cat Mika, are both adorable for different reasons. These two became a big hit after Rosuuri’s first solo exhibit which I covered in a previous blog. They started with inspiration from Alice in Wonderland but have continued to be evolved and adapted to fit a variety of genres and themes.

White Rabbit Rosu is the embodiment of anxious grace. Her design often features soft whites, pinks and flustered expressions depending on her outfit suggesting purity. At times her gaze hints at something more bold but she always has that easy going, happy go lucky air around her.

Cheshire Cat Mika is the chaos to Rosu’s order. Mika’s design leans into mischievous purples, cat motifs, and a tsundere energy that feels like it’s daring you to underestimate her. She’s the rival, the disruptor, the one who turns emotional tension into a game.

Together, they’re not just characters, they’re a narrative engine. Rosuuri’s art often places them in scenes of subtle psychological warfare like Mika sneaking a photo of Rosu.

Solarain is bringing fans great 1/7 scale swimsuit figures of Rosu and Mika that are not just summer fanservice.

Rosu wears a white and soft pink two-piece and holds a cute floaty that mimics rabbit ears. Her expression is gentle with some light blush and her pose is that mix of slightly bold and unassuming. With Rosu, it is like she is daring you to look but also doesn't have the self confidence to truly flaunt it.

The slight gradients on her hair and the transparency of her floaty and skirt catch light like a watercolor painting. They take the soft, subdued color palette and add in just enough variety to keep your interest.

The sculpt is fantastic with decent definition on her tummy and legs. The only less than stellar pieces are small additions like the flower on her sandals and less detailed bunny tail that you won't really see that much.

I say that but then again…

…the view from behind is also pretty good. With her oshiri positioned expertly in front of the floaty’s hole, you can appreciate all of Rosu’s assets. Not going to lie, the photos from behind were the reason I pre-ordered these…

Questionable life choices aside, Mika is shown directly in contrast with Rosu. Sporting a deep purple school swimsuit with heart-shaped sunglasses and a cat-shaped floaty, her visual is the perfect companion piece.

Her expression is classic tsundere, annoyed but her tail betrays excitement. She has that kind of bratty, playful look with an air of ojousama.

The sculpt follows Rosu with nice details and body lines creating a very good bishoujo look. Compared to Rosu’s lighter colors, Mika has a more vibrant, bold color palette with blue accents that really pop.

The cat floaty is translucent so their might be some fun display options with creative lighting for the pair. It's position behind her is perfect to allow you to admire Mika from all sides.

The bases are designed to interlock, forming a beach diorama. Each base is slightly different making the combo look great, either together or solo. You can pre-order Rosu and Mika today!
