Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
Hatsune Miku always has a plethora of figures in the works with regular releases over the year. From her classic look to fun, themed costumes there are plenty of options for collectors. This is great, but it can also be hard to keep up and it's easy for a gem to pass you by unknowingly. One such figure is getting a re-release, so if you missed out before, here is a second chance.

The figure's design is inspired by the The Vampire music video by DECO*27. DECO*27 has been around for almost as long as Miku and is one of the biggest and best known vocaloid music creators. Their music features electronica elements, great instrumentals and catchy lyrics that keep you humming along. Hachisan (83) has done the album covers and art for vocaloid creations and is responsible for the vampire design!

The vampire visual adds a unique and thematic twist to Hatsune Miku's usual appearance. Her outfit is a blend of gothic and modern elements, featuring a jirai kei inspired outfit.

Miku’s iconic twintails are still present but much shorter than her classic design. Black bows and a red hair clip are nice accessories that fit the theme.

Her facial expression is playful and mischievous. Fitting with the original song art, she is seen pulling down her black mask revealing her fangs. Aside from her teeth, there isn't much else to represent her as a vampire.

The sculpt of this figure is very nice for the relatively low price. The sculptors have added a lot of detail in the folds in her clothing and skirt. The coloring makes good use of shading to add depth and dimension to the figure. The slight flutter to the skirt is an attempt to add some sense of movement to the figure and they make sure it isn't revealing.

The larger size of the Pop Up Parade L series allows for a budget friendly figure to be a standout piece in a collection. Unlike regular Pop Up Parade figures that are small and easily overshadowed by other figures including at times, prize figures.

Jirai kei fashion has been very popular with subcultures and anime and will most likely continue to grow. If you want to add a Miku figure embracing modern trends, now is your chance. Vampire Miku is now available for pre-order and the re-release should be shipping towards the middle of 2025. If you pre-order today you can save a little money thanks to our early bird discount.
