I immediately ordered this figure as soon as it went up for preorder, I’ve seen this 2D style paint before in some resin statues, but this is the first anime PVC figure I’ve seen painted like this. And overall it looks really good, it’s extremely unique.

I don’t collect My Hero Academia figures but I needed this figure as I thought it looked amazing in the pictures, while in person it does look better from certain angles.

I have to give them top marks for attempting this 2D look and actually pulling it off, the paint looks extremely good. The only thing I would like to change is the paint on her legs, I wish it was a slightly lighter shade of brown. When you look at it certain ways it doesn’t look like a shadow, just looks weird.

You can display her in just her school uniform without her villain add ons’ but it doesn’t look that good like that, looks much better with everything on. The only other issue is the magnets are extremely weak on her knife pouches on both legs, if you shake the figure they fall off.

This is a figure where you definitely need to use the support pole, I try my best to avoid using support poles, I only use them if the figure cannot stand without them. And unfortunately here it’s needed, as she’s only pegged on one leg and the peg is plastic and absolutely tiny, it’s one of the shortest foot pegs I’ve ever seen. Very silly on a figure with such a severe forward leaning pose.

So overall I’m very happy with this figure, she’s extremely unique and I hope other companies bring out more figures of characters from different manga in this style of paint.
