Today’s Early Bird special is Hatsune Miku’s Chinese V4 figure release!
Another beautiful addition to Good Smile’s lineup, this Hatsune Miku is based off her V4 Chinese release illustration by Mamenomoto, which does differ from her V4X style (illustrated by iXima). Compare the two different styles below!
The Chinese version has some unique twists on Miku’s new outfit. Her normally tight-fitting sleeves now flare out with lovely body and are embellished with metallic teal pankous! Her tights follow suit and are designed in a similar cheongsam style.
The detailing on her skirt is exquisite too! It’s been painted to really contrast with the other textures of her outfit. Almost like metal plates, her skirt’s pleats each separate and fold to give it great dimension.
Sculpted to blend seamlessly, the synthesizer design of her skirt is easy to miss from a cursory glance! A longer look, and you can even make out the key patterns on each pleat. The cherry on top is the bright burst of color by way of teal floral decorations.
To match these accents, Miku also comes with an adjustable base that mirrors this floral design. It has a lacquered finish and can be adjusted in height with a removable, translucent bottom.
A great touch to this figure too is Miku’s hair. It billows all around her in voluminous twirls, almost like a whip. Her hair has been painted with a nice gradation to show off the shadows and highlights of her hair as it moves. Her normally futuristic hair bands have been replaced with magenta bands, reminiscent of the Chinese double bun hairstyle. While hard to see from afar, her eyes have more brilliant, yet delicate appearance thanks to some pink highlighting that match the color of her hair bands perfectly.
