Today’s Early Bird special is Thor in his Chibi Nendoroid form from the Marvel Phase 3 finale Avengers: Endgame!
We’re taking a look at both the Standard and the DX version of the Nendoroid - be warned that there may be spoilers ahead)! =͟͟͞͞ =͟͟͞͞ ﾍ( ´Д`)ﾉ
The Standard and DX versions both include Thor’s short haircut, which the God of Thunder still sported at the start of the film (immediately following the events of Infinity War). And since he didn’t get a Nendoroid release for Infinity War, Thor’s Endgame Nendoroid is the first to feature his brown cybernetic eye he received from Rocket!
Rocket: "Some jerk lost a bet with me on Contraxia."
Thor: “ "He gave you his eye?"
Rocket: "No, he gave me 100 credits. I snuck into his room later that night and stole his eye."
Thor also includes some of his most familiar weapons. He not only comes with his trusty hammer Mjolnir, which he gets back during his search for the Reality Stone, but also Stormbreaker which you can display with lightning effect parts! His weapons even include separate display arms so they can be posed on their own, perfect for recreating scenes of the Mighty Thor summoning his weapons.
“You take the small one.”
And while Thor’s suit has been perfectly recreated in Chibi size, you might notice that the Standard version of the Nendoroid does not include Thor’s new physique…
So make sure you pick up the DX version, which includes an interchangeable belly part to recreate “Fat” Thor!
“Noobmaster, hey, it is Thor again. You know, the God of Thunder?”
You’ll notice that not only does the DX version include Thor’s new belly, but also his long hair and braided beard (part of two additional faceplates).
His bonus faceplates are a bearded, smiling expression and bearded, shouting expression which is what you’ll need to recreate the final showdown between the Avengers and Thanos.
“Let’s kill him properly this time.”
His destroyed terrain base matches Captain America’s and Iron Man’s, so make sure to pick both of these superheroes up as well!
