When we think of heroes we imagine them as noble, selfless champions, choosing to fight for justice. What if becoming a hero wasn’t an honor… but a punishment? That twist is the beating heart of Sentenced to Be a Hero.

At its core, Sentenced to Be a Hero is a dark fantasy that reimagines heroism as a state-mandated death sentence. In this world, criminals aren’t locked away, they’re forcibly conscripted into Penal Hero Units, thrown onto the front lines against the Demon King’s forces. It’s a brutal system where survival is unlikely, and glory is nonexistent. The story follows these unwilling heroes as they fight not for honor, but simply to live another day.

The series began as a novel and quickly gained attention for its grim tone, sharp worldbuilding, and subversive take on fantasy tropes. It has since expanded into a manga and anime adaptation. What makes it stand out is how it blends bleakness with character-driven storytelling. Even in a world built on punishment, the cast shines with personality, resilience, and surprising warmth. Among the characters of Penal Hero Unit 9004, Teoritta is one of the most memorable. She is the goddess of swords who made a pact with the leader of hero unit 9004, Xylo Forbartz.

Teoritta is an upbeat, quirky and energetic goddess with a childlike attitude. She is proud of her power and is always seeking to prove herself as a goddess to impress others. Her personality is reflected in her hair where she has a large ahoge that is always burning and strands that spark when she's excited.

Kadokawa is bringing us one of the first 1/7 scales of Teoritta and fan reception has been great. The figure does a pretty great job at capturing her likeness and creating a great sense of movement. Her flaming ahoge is definitely not easy to recreate in figure form but Kadokawa pulled it off. Teoritta’s hair has an excellent gradient coloring and has a natural look to how it flows.

The sculpting work is especially impressive in the fine details. The folds of her cloak and the subtle textures really bring the design to life.

It is a cast-off with the cloak being removable but without it, it feels underwhelming. Having options for displaying is always good, but I can't help feeling that adding different pieces for posing like like a hand on her waist would have been a significant improvement. Without the cloak, her small frame gives her a less formidable, weaker appearance which just doesn't work with the pose. A cloak less version would be more fitting for a vulnerable moment when there is unexpecting head pats.

The paintwork is refined with a color palette that stays true to Teoritta's character. The figure balances beauty with personality, avoiding exaggeration in favor of authenticity. It feels like a snapshot of Teoritta, removed from the harsh world she inhabits.

At 1/7 scale, the figure has a strong shelf presence without overwhelming a display. It captures the contrast that defines the series: beauty set against brutality, grace surviving in a world built on punishment. Teoritta is currently available for pre-order and you can save 20% with an early bird discount!
