Welcome to the Solaris Blog! ヾ( ʚ̴̶̷ .̫ ʚ̴̶̷ )ノ”
With several figures released and many happy collectors, Bear Panda looks like they are the next big hit. Their designs are top-notch for bishoujo figures and they have kept prices relatively low. Despite the lower than average cost, Bear Panda has been putting out competitive figures in terms of quality and attention to detail. By routinely working with popular illustrators, they are giving fans exactly what we want.If you are a fan of the succubus aesthetic, Tamano Kedama needs no introduction. Over the years, Kedama has dedicated themselves to bringing the world more succubus goodies. With successful works being made into "adult" anime and original characters that fans can't get enough of, Kedama has become an industry leader. Their original character, Rurumu has gotten a few figures but it is rare to see her second form Kuromu to be included. Succubi are ethereal beings so shapeshifting and split personalities are par for the course. This time Bear Panda is bringing the duo together! Best part is you get two great figures for around half the price some companies charge for a single 1/7 scale figure.
Since Kedama is a R18 artist, their figures tend to be adult oriented with a price tag that hurts the eyes. The image Bear Panda based the figure on is a cute rendition that captures the playful characters well. It is also probably as safe for work as you can get for a succubus...
Kuromu on the left has a more outgoing and playful demeanor compared to Rurumu's normal form. Rurumu tends to be a bit more shy and tsundere-esq. It's a dynamic that works all too well. This personality difference is reflected in their pose and facial expression. Kuromu is blowing a kiss and throwing a wink to the viewer, while Rurumu is a bit awkward not sure what to do.
The succubus inspired bunny girl take is also very nicely done. The black and white give a yin and yang vibe. Bear Panda kept the clear stomach covering on Rurumu and it may give some shine with the right lighting.
Bear Panda also seems to like adding unique value to their figures. They advertise that these two succubi will change color with some added heat. Having the tails wrap around each other looks great, and the changing color could be fun but it's hard to judge.
From behind, their hair forms a heart! It's a cute addition and a bit of an Easter egg since it is unlikely to be visible when displayed. Overall, for the price I don't think you can find a better bishoujo figure.
Rurumu and Kuromu are set to release at the end of summer, 2025. You can pre-order the pair now, and by getting the pair a special heart shaped base is included. Alternatively, Rurumu and Kuromu are available separately but would come with separate round bases which do not look possible to attach together.
