Spring is a very busy time of year! Among many other holidays, such as Girl’s Day and the spring equinox, it is also the time for graduation. Under a shower of cherry blossom petals students receive their diplomas and say goodbye to their classmates. It is an important event in the life of Japanese students, and they study hard to earn it!
Well, some may still fail despite doing their best; school isn’t easy for everyone. ┐(´д｀ )┌ This is the case of five very rich, but very undisciplined, quintuplets — the Nakano sisters!
For today’s Early Bird special we’ll be looking at second-eldest onee-san Nino Nakano from Kotobukiya. You can feel the daggers shooting from her eyes…
But before we begin, we must mention the other four, of course. They are inseparable, and Nino herself wouldn’t have it any other way!
First up and fourth-youngest (we bumped her up because you can’t help but feel her cheerful presence from the other side of the school), Yotsuba!
In the corner, daydreaming about some Japanese warlord, is the gloomiest of the sisters, Miku. Both her and Yotsuba are set to arrive at the end of April!
Finally, the baby of the family, Itsuki! Lagging as usual, she’ll arrive at our store at the end of May. But she clearly doesn’t care if she’s behind. (⌒_⌒ ;)
Back to the star of the post, tsundere maxima Nino Nakano! With an early bird discount, because how else could one tolerate such a cruel personality…?
Just kidding. We all know that a tsundere is just an ice sculpture: hard and cold at first, but the beauty is in there somewhere. We just need to work out the rough edges to find it. And, when you do find it, her sincere smile shines brighter than the stars! To reflect that memorable moment, this figure comes with an interchangeable face plate.
Out of all five sisters, Nino’s pose is the one that displays her…natural assets the best. She’s fashionable, confident and unaffected by your attention. This stance isn’t for charming, it’s for demanding respect. You know you can’t win against this angel-faced rogue!
Should you choose not to pay her due reverence, it’s completely okay. Just admire her as she walks away from you, pink hair swaying with each step down the high school hallways. As expected, Kotobukiya goes all out in the details that matter!
As fate would have it (also because you go to the same school), you had the misfortune of crossing paths with her again, and now you’re on the ground, looking up at Nino. However, this isn’t too bad, because you can get a better look at another detail that matters: the fact that this school’s uniform barely fits her properly. Don’t give up, little buttons!
