Daibadi Production has made a beautiful action figure with their Kelly figure. I have a tendency to buy at least one figure from a company that piques my interest and Kelly is what drew me to Daibadi and their Polynian line. Her police officer design is what attracted me and I do believe it was well worth my money.
Polynians have an entire world with their own lore from what I understand on their official site. From what I was able to understand, they're aliens with a plastic robot design and have integrated themselves into society. This figure and her robot cop design is what I love most about the figure. Her hair is separated into two pieces with the back of her hair being attached with a hinge joint. Her hat also has a hinge joint that can be attached to her head. Her tie and her skirt can be removed to make her lewd but those are the only articles of clothing you can remove. The paint is clean and well done and makes her look bright and cheerful.
The one thing about Polynian you need to know about before buying a figure are the joints. Polynian figures use only hinge joints for every joint. 3 for each arm, 3 for each leg, one for the neck and one between the chest and abdomen. This makes it harder to move and pose the figure in certain areas where a different joint would be more appropriate. This is so you can easily swap pieces from one Polynian for another to customize. This makes it fun to own multiple but posing is a hassle.
She comes with a few accessories to help go with her police motif. She has a shotgun/rifle, a stun baton, a shield and handcuffs. She has holes on the sides of her thighs so she can hold a few on her. She has 6 pairs of hands and 3 alternate face plates - two different smiling faces and one winking.
This figure is cute and pretty cool but I don't think it's for everyone. It has a good range of motion for the joints but you have to work harder to get them in the right position. To get the most fun out of it you have to own multiple different ones. If you want it, get it but be aware of these draw backs.
