This SAS is sculpted after the first manga appearance of Josuke, when his features are more coarse and angled. The extra head - shouting head - even has the classic Jojo face lines. The hairdo is sculpted and painted like how it was depicted on one of the first manga volumes. However, no matter how good the paint job is - and it is good, there is a huge amount of shading on the school uniform and the hair - one thing that pops out is how small Josuke appears to be. He is supposed to be a huge teenager - almost as big as Jotaro - but he is as big (actually, slightly smaller) than Kira's SAS, and Kira is a lot shorter than Josuke in the manga. It's not much, but the scale for the part four figures is way off, and it's very noticeable. He is as big as the Jolyne SAS, and she is fairly small complared to Josuke in the source material. However, although the figure is small, Josuke somehow looks big (the proportions are good, but the figure itself is too small), and his face is sculpted so that he looks young and boyish - for example, you can tell that he is a teenager character, just as you can tell that Rohan is in his twenties and Kira is in his thirties - so the problem is only on the scale, not the sculpt itself.
Other than this, a big minus is the toe joint on the shoes - one of mine broke as soon as I touched it, and I saw it happen to others, as well. That makes me believe it's a problem of this particular figure, not just a simple accident on mine. The middle is a bit stiff and, for some reason, even if you can rotate the waist, you can't bend it backwards, so the 'dislocated hip' pose from the end of the manga is quite impossible to fully replicate. The coat tails are a bit strange and, perhaps, they could have been made a bit differently, not added as extra pieces. This figure comes with a few accessories, such as the bracelets (which could have easily been painted over the coat, not extra pieces) a J pin (could have been put on the coat without making it an extra piece, also) and binoculars and school bag, so it's nothing special. There are many things that could have been done infinitely better on this figure, but it's still a cool and good looking figure, and it can still be posed in many ridiculous Jojo-esque poses, so it's not a bust - but some things could have been done a lot better.
